Wednesday 20th March - bike **** – Two rivers with a picnic by the Deben – Rain early then sunny periods with light winds.

Woke today to light rain and with no plans had abit of a lay-in before doing my exercises which I finished by midday so decided to have a quick spin inn the bike leaving Mag at home reading her book. So down through Langer Park in perfect biking weather, sunny with light winds and the River Orwell at the view point looked pretty as a picture. I got a couple of cool reflection shoots of a large container ship being unloaded, not in the puddle in the car park this time made in a small lagoon made by the recent work done to the beach. I had my chocolate bar sitting on the fence before carrying onto the jetty at the end of landgyard before setting off back through the reserve leading to Felixstowe prom at The Manor end. The sky looked great as did the flat calm sea and I was missing Mag so instead of continuinng to the Ferry I headed home to get Mag who had dozed off on the settee, she is not really feeling a 100% but was up for a bike to the ferry so I quickly made a couple of yummy rolls and a flask. Back down onn the prom near the pier we slowly made our way to The Fludyers as it was quick busy. Around to Clifflands beach huts and across the large green and down the windy path to the prom leading to The Dip where we bumped into a couple we knew who have just bought a small camervan and stopped for a chat. There was a sign up saying the footpath was closed 850m ahead but we made it to our favourite spot beside the Deben and enjoyed a peaceful lunch and had a nice chat to a lady who recognised us from my pics on Facebook:) Well rested we returned to The Dip and up on the road and home through the town to relax with a cuppa:)
